Our mission: to source and roast exceptional, artisanal, specialty, coffee beans. Providing to our customers sustainably procured, prepared and packaged coffee beans to enjoy.
A Seed Planted
While trekking through Peru, Jason and Meghan had the spontaneous opportunity to stay on a family coffee plantation in Peru. That opportunity led to a tremendous, impactful introduction and education to the coffee industry in South America.
It Sprouts
Returning home, Jason gets to work on the build-out for Alta Coffee Roasters', roastery and retail location in his hometown of Arlington, Mass. The location is completed and opened in September of 2024. Focusing exclusively on roasting and selling beans, the retail location doesn't sell drinks yet, but does offer free tastes of our 'brew of the day'.
The Beans
Alta Coffee Roasters offers small batch roasts of rotating single origins, a permanent espresso blend and seasonal blends. Jason is passionate about sustainability and works with select, specialty importers to maximize local impact while minimizing carbon footprint.
